Current Side Project

Arch

I'm ending the year by finally getting to work on a project I've been thinking about for a while. Along the way I want to talk about how I'm building certain things and which tools I'm using!

The product I’m trying to create is called Arch and the idea for it stems from frustration with current tools and a lack of time to build things over and over again.

Why does Arch exist?

Over the past 5 years that I’ve been working on a couple different digital products I’ve wanted a way to run in-app surveys to collect feedback from users directly in context.

Feedback on things like new features, missing functionality, ease of use, discoverability.

Catching them and their feedback right when things are going right or wrong seems far more efficient than completely out of context via e-mail.

If the in-app route is the one you want to take, you end up with 2 options.

  1. Try and convince your team to build you a custom survey flow that’s designed and built for your app that you’ll need to maintain.

  2. Use an out of the box survey tool that’s probably easier to implement, but either won’t really feel or look like your product or focuses mainly on NPS, CSAT type flows that’ll annoy and bore your users.

All of the out of the box solutions just annoyed me. Either they were super duper expensive and had a really limited free tier, the customisation was extremely surface level, the implementation was buggy or the UX was horrible.

I was never happy with either of these approaches, which is why I want to build Arch.

Arch's Promise

Built by designers for designers, Arch helps you create in-app surveys that fit your brand and product while maintaining great user experience.

I’m currently trying to get feedback on current ideas and what we should build first. If the above resonates with you, please sign up to the waitlist!
